TLDR – What’s The Verdict On The Rainmaker Challenge?

Rainmaker Challenge reviews TLDR

Is Amazon FBA the key to enjoying a life of financial freedom with your loved ones?

Stephen and Chelsey Diaz certainly paint it that way.

The married couple created the Rainmaker Challenge to help stay-at-home moms spend more time with their families.

Throughout their marketing, they constantly remind the viewers of that.

“Would it be great to have more time to play with your kids and witness their precious moments?”, they ask.

Duh, of course that would be awesome.

But I can’t agree that an Amazon FBA business would be the best way for most people to make that dream come true.

I don’t doubt that Stephen and Chelsey made good money through Amazon FBA. They do a decent job of showing people how they did it.

However, there are some important things to know before you try and copy them.

First off, you’ll need a lot of extra money in the bank to get your own business off the ground. In the course, Stephen and Chelsey say you’ll need between $1,000 and $10,000 ready to invest in products.

Secondly, it seems as if every other ‘boss babe’ or ‘business bro’ has already tried Amazon FBA. It’s a ruthlessly competitive market and not everyone can succeed. You’ll need to be comfortable with the idea of not getting your initial investment back.

Finally, there’s no way that Amazon FBA can be described as a way to get rich quickly. You’ll be dealing with low profit margins due to the various fees that Amazon charges. Most new Amazon sellers operate on a loss for a good while before becoming profitable.

If you’re prepared to invest, compete and maybe make big money in a year or two, the Rainmaker Challenge will help you to do that.

Personally, I prefer to invest my time and money in a business model where it’s easier to succeed.

My life has become so much easier since I started creating ‘Digital Rental Properties’ to lease out to local business owners.

These digital assets appear in prominent areas of search engines and attract leads like bees to honey.

As such, I can rent them out for $500 – $2,000 per month depending on the niche.

Since my clients tend to make even more money out of this deal, they’re happy to keep paying me every month.

There’s less competition, less initial investment and less ongoing work once the assets are set up.

That means I get more time to play Legos with my young boys.

The business model is called ‘The Digital Rental Method’ and you can learn more about it in this video.

Who Benefits From Program & Who Doesn’t

Who Benefits From Program & Who Doesn't

I’d say you should absolutely join the Rainmaker Challenge if

  • you believe in your ability to sell products on Amazon FBA
  • you have $1,000 – $10,000 to invest in launching your business
  • you’re excited to join a community of ‘Mompreneurs’ and support each other

I’m sure they’ll accept you if you’re not a parent. Their focus on stay-at-home moms is just a marketing angle. It’s not as if they take you on Maury to conduct a DNA test.

With that said, I’d urge you NOT to join the Rainmaker Challenge if you don’t have big money to invest in an Amazon FBA business.

I’d also urge you NOT to join if you think it’ll be a walk in the park that generates huge profits within a week.

If you believe that, please read the section of this review where I’ll outline the pros and cons of the Amazon FBA business model.

How Does The Amazon FBA Business Model Work?

Amazon FBA stands for ‘fulfilled by Amazon’.

Once you’re approved for an Amazon Seller account, you’ll be able to send your products to an Amazon shipping center and have them listed on its website.

From there, Amazon will fulfil all your order processing, shipping and customer service for you.

The main benefit of this service is that you save a lot of time, since you don’t have to organize all these processes yourself.

You may also benefit from the insane amount of traffic that Amazon generates. More than one in three online purchases are made on Amazon, and perhaps some of these customers will stumble across your products during their online shopping trip. (This is a significant advantage that Amazon sellers have over those with a Shopify store or business selling products on their own website).

With that said, a major downside is the huge level of competition. No matter what product you’re trying to sell, you can bet there’ll be countless other people trying to do the same. You’ll pay significant fees for Amazon to store and sell your products too. So, the profit margins are rarely anything to write home about. It’s a long road to the million-dollar lifestyle you’re dreaming of.

These are both problems that will surely only get worse with time. I imagine it’s kind of like owning a shoe shop in the Mall of America, Minnesota. This is the largest mall in the United States, so it attracts A LOT of foot traffic. But, it’ll cost you A LOT to buy retail space there and there are most likely A LOT of shoe retailers there also vying for customers.

Amazon FBA sellers can also struggle to grow their brand awareness, and this can make it difficult to attract repeat customers.

After all, these customers find the product they want on the Amazon website. It’s Amazon that ships it to them. The product arrives in an Amazon box. And it’s Amazon they have to contact if something goes wrong.

This can be a blessing and a curse. Though Amazon attracts customers and does all the heavy lifting, you sacrifice brand recognition (and most of your profits).

You’re also forced to play by Amazon’s rules at all times. These can change in an instant to make it harder for you to run your business.

All in all, Amazon FBA does provide a good opportunity for people to launch an online retail business with the heavy legwork. However, there are a lot of hurdles that make it tough to generate a full-time income.

Who Are Stephen and Chelsey Diaz?

Stephen And Chelsy Diaz, Founders Of The Rainmaker Challenge

Stephen and Chelsey Diaz are the married couple behind the Rainmaker Challenge.

They were previously working as wedding photographers but decided to pivot because the job was swallowing all their time.

Their priority was to spend more hours at home with their two boys, Kai and Ollie. They understood that remote working would allow that to happen, so they set a goal to replace their photographer income with a stay-at-home business.

The couple tried a variety of businesses before finding success with Amazon FBA and decided to go all-in.

Shortly after launching their own successful FBA business, they began sharing the secrets to their success on social media. Their story generated significant interest so they began putting more effort into building an audience.

Then, before long, the 7-day Rainmaker Challenge was born.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with hip-hop culture, “making it rain” is when you throw money in the air because you have so damn much of it.

Stephen and Chelsey built the whole brand around this slang term and their desire to turn mama bears into millionaires. Their YouTube Channel name is The Rainmaker Family. They have a presence on all major social media channels under that alias. The Rainmaker Family Show is available on all good podcast providers.

Although the Rainmaker Family has centered their brand around helping stay-at-home moms, their advice could help anyone get started with an Amazon FBA business.

How Much Does The Rainmaker Challenge Cost?

How Much Does The Rainmaker Challenge Cost

The 7-day Rainmaker challenge costs only $49, which is a lot cheaper than rival Amazon FBA courses or any other e-commerce courses.

The core Rainmaker product features seven live group training calls which take place at 9am PST every day for a week. It features actionable steps that’ll supposedly only take an hour per day to implement.

There are daily replays for “busy moms”, but you won’t be able to access these videos forever. For lifetime access to the videos, you’ll need a pay an extra $97. The lifetime access package includes downloadable audio files and transcripts.

There are more upsells that will be pitched to you throughout the course as well.

These are

  • Family Freedom Challenge Box (Free + $19.95 shipping). The box contains a workbook plus daily tips to help you succeed with the 7-day challenge.
  • Rainmaker Challenge Plus Experience ($127). This digital package features more valuable tips on product research, plus direct access to Amazon FBA coaches who have successfully launched their own businesses. You’ll get lifetime access to the original course with this purchase too.
  • Rainmaker Mastermind Program (up to $5,800). This is an invite-only course that you’re given the opportunity to apply for after completing the 7-day program. It features daily live calls with experienced coaches. The price isn’t revealed online but we’ve seen reviews suggesting it costs up to $5,800 to join.

Some customers have complained that the 7-day course features too much up-selling, but I’d say there’s $49 worth of information here too.

With that said, please know that the Rainmaker family recommends that you have between $1,000 and $10,000 to invest in your Amazon FBA business. If you don’t have that kind of money, it’s been suggested they’ll pressure you into finding a way to get hold of it. This TrustPilot user says they were encouraged to take out credit cards or go into debt.

Rainmaker Challenge scam

Indeed, a major downside of the Amazon FBA business model is that you’ll need a large initial investment. If you don’t have that money handy, it’s probably best to skip the Rainmaker Challenge, even if the “challenge” itself only costs $49.

Rainmaker Challenge Refund Policy

The Rainmaker Challenge includes a 30-Day Complete Happiness Guarantee, which states that you can claim a full refund within 30 days of buying the course if you’re not satisfied.

However, a few reviews suggest that clients are forced to at least make it to the end of Day 2 before a refund will be issued.

Is the Rainmaker Challenge legit?

Replying to this TrustPilot review, a member of the Rainmaker Challenge customer service team said: “Oftentimes when we’re fighting for something like financial breakthrough there are “walls” that can come up to prevent us from breaking through that will keep us stuck where we are if we don’t push through. This is why we try to encourage our challengers to continue through at least day 2.”

It’s not clear whether this refund policy applies to the upsell products.

Personal Opinion: Is The Rainmaker Challenge Legit? Is There A Rainmaker Challenge Scam?

Rainmaker Challenge Scam

There are a few unhappy customers online who have posted reviews warning people of a Rainmaker Challenge scam.

Their main complaint is the seemingly endless upselling that takes place during the course. Other reviewers didn’t like being told they’d need to raise $1,000-$10,000 to get their business off the ground.

It seems some customers bought into the Rainmaker Challenge thinking they’d only need to spend $49 to launch their own Amazon FBA business.

But that’s not how this business model works.

So, is the Rainmaker Challenge legit? I’d say yes. It has enough information to help beginner Amazon sellers launch their business. The problem is: it’ll require a big initial investment to do so. That’s why this business model isn’t suitable for a lot of people.

There’s also no guarantee you’ll succeed even if you have the money to invest in your Amazon business.

This market has been over-saturated for a long time. No matter what you decide to sell, you’re likely to be competing with TONS of sellers all over the world.

Yes, it’s possible to stand out and succeed, but it’s also possible to be drowned out by the competition and never make your initial investment back. Even with the beloved Rainmaker Family helping you out.

I prefer to operate in a market where I’m not swarmed by competitors. A market where I can find one client and make thousands per month from them. That’s why I’ve gone all-in on the Digital Rental Method.

This business model involves renting “digital assets” out to local business owners on a monthly retainer.

I charge between $500 – $2,000 per month for these assets. They tend to make the business owners even more money, so they’re happy to pay me month after month. No additional customer service is required.

I can choose to target more than 50 local business niches in over 500,000 cities in the U.S alone, so there’s no danger of market saturation.

And here’s the best thing.

Once I’ve created my first money-making asset, it’s a simple copy-and-paste process to make another and find another willing renter.

This is the perfect business model for stay-at-home moms who want to spend more time having fun with their kids. Once the initial work is done, the income is as passive as it gets in online business.

I now spend most of my days watching my young boys grow into the cutest little rascals. The most stressful part of my work day is when one of them knocks over our Lego house.

If that sounds like the type of life you want to live, watch this video to learn exactly how The Digital Rental Method works.

What’s Inside The Rainmaker Challenge?

This wouldn’t be the greatest Rainmaker Challenge review on the internet without a deep look at what’s inside the 7-day course.

It’s a live course so you may face a short wait until the first day.

Below, you’ll discover what each day of the course will involve.

Day 1: Where to Start?

Women in Rainmaker Challenge T-Shirts

The first day of the Rainmaker Challenge will serve as an introduction to Amazon FBA and the financial opportunities that lie within it.

You’ll discover the differences between Amazon FBA and Amazon FBM, plus why the Rainmakers decided to focus on the former.

Chelsea and Stephen will also teach you the basics of setting up an Amazon account so you can be paid every two weeks. It’ll be your homework for the day to do that.

However, I’d say the most important lessons of Day 1 are about developing a positive mindset.

Running an online business isn’t all honey, roses and passive income. There can be stressful days. There can be things that go wrong. There can be times when you think this isn’t going to work and you should start looking for a 9-5 job. I’d say these days are more common when running an Amazon FBA business, but hey that was just my experience.

This is why Stephen and Chelsey take the time to offer some mindset tips that helped them succeed in this industry.

A helpful tip surrounds finding your “why”. This might be seen as a cliché self-improvement tip, but it can really help to remember your long-term goals when you’re going through a temporary spell of stress.

Stephen and Chelsey share some ideas to create some “quick wins” that’ll spark some momentum in your business.

You’ll also hear some words of encouragement from a handful of former Rainmaker students who are now running a successful business.

There’s not much in the way of super-secret expert knowledge here, but it’s an important module nonetheless.

Day 2 – How Much Time Is Required?

The second day of the course is dedicated to answering the question of “How long will it take to succeed with Amazon FBA?”

Stephen and Chelsey suggest that you can make money with an FBA business in just 4-5 hours per week. This is supposedly what made it such a suitable business model for them.

In my experience, this is an exaggeration. Having sold fidget-spinners on Amazon FBA back in the day, I can tell you it sucked away a lot more of my time.

But, hey, I was busy testing various products, running different marketing campaigns, plus overseeing what was working and what wasn’t. Even using the time-saving tools they recommend, there was always something else to do.

I stuck at this business for a long time, but it never felt like a truly passive source of income to me.

Anyway, Stephen and Chelsey will share some tips to help you save time during your Rainmaker journey in this module. You’ll also be introduced to some online tools to automate your business processes and encouraged to test them out for yourself.

Day 3 – How Much Does an Amazon FBA Business Cost?

Amazon FBA home page

This module will teach you all about budgeting for your Amazon FBA business.

It’s also the module where Stephen and Chelsey suggest you’ll need $1,000 – $10,000 ready to spend on your ecommerce business.

Your biggest expense will be your inventory, so today’s lesson will also surround choosing a great product to sell. You’ll be introduced to the Power Profit Tool, which will help you find products with high demand and low competition, and a few other useful tools.

Stephen and Chelsey offer some helpful tips about sourcing and handling inventory, as well as sending it to an Amazon warehouse. You’ll learn some interesting pricing strategies to help you maximize profits too.

Day 4 – Useful Tools and Strategies

A clear benefit of Amazon FBA is that you can outsource various elements of running an online business.

Amazon takes care of all inventory, shipping, customer service and returns, which can be highly appealing to online retail newbies. (The downside to this is Amazon’s seller fees which lead to pultry profit margins).

Anyway, on day four, Chelsea and Stephen will introduce you to some more online tools that help automate your Amazon FBA business further and hopefully make it more profitable.

By the end of this day, you’ll be equipped with a full squad of online tools to reduce your workload and have your business running at full speed.

Day 5 – Finding Profitable Products That Sell

On day five, you’ll learn more valuable tips to help you choose profitable products to sell.

You’ll learn about how to do effective product research and avoid niches where there’s too much competition.

Chelsea and Stephen will reveal their four “qualifiers” that they use to decide whether or not to take a punt on a product.

Hopefully, by the end of day five, you’ll have a solid idea of what you wantto sell in your online store.

At this point, the idea of owning an Amazon FBA business may start to feel real. There are a few more steps you’ll need to take before it does become a reality though…

Day 6 – Sourcing Products and Connecting with Manufacturers

Chelsey Diaz on laptop

It’s all good knowing what products you want to sell on Amazon. Now you have to go and find them. More importantly, you have to buy them at a good price.

On day six, Stephen and Chelsea will share some expert tips on how to do that. This knowledge can be incredibly useful in all areas of retail, whether you’re selling on Amazon, another platform or in the real world.

The training videos include footage of the Rainmaker family visiting various retailers to search for the best products.

After they find a product that interests them, they’ll take the following steps.

  1. Check the product’s sales history on Amazon.
  2. Analyze the demand.
  3. Decide whether or not it’s likely to fly off the shelves or at least make them a tidy profit.

This process can become tedious after a while, but perhaps it’ll be fun if you’re doing it alongside a wife whom you love very much.

You can find products to sell online too. The Alibaba website has plenty of manufacturers and agents that offer great deals on bulk items.

It’s also possible to work with a personal sourcing agent who’ll contact various manufacturers on your behalf. A top agent is likely to be experienced at understanding product prices and landing you a great deal, although this might be canceled out by the fact that you’ll have to pay for their services.

Day 7 – Accelerating Your Business

On the final day of the course, you’ll learn some useful tips for scaling your business to make big money.

You’ll be advised about the best way to add additional categories and brands, and not just based on how Stephen and Chelsey did it. You’ll also be presented with case studies of Rainmaker students who successfully scaled their businesses.

Here, you’ll also learn about running ads on Facebook and Instagram. This is a common tool that small online retailers use to ramp up their sales.

You’ll pay a fee depending on how many people see your advert, so the goal is to sell enough products to make a profit. That means you’ll need to create an eye-catching advert that stops social media users from doom-scrolling. You’ll also have to master the art of targeting your adverts at a suitable customer demographic. The coaches do an impressive job of teaching these skills.

This is the final day of the course. So, in theory, you should have enough information to launch your Amazon FBA business and start selling products.

However, Stephen and Chelsey will make a big final push to convince you that joining their Mastermind group will accelerate your sales even further. That may be true but it’ll set you back up to $5,800, according to my research.

Bonuses

Here are the main bonuses you’ll receive alongside the seven training videos in the Rainmaker Challenge.

The main benefit of the Mastermind group is that you’ll be given access to five additional live training calls per week.

Rainmaker Mastermind Coaching Calendar

Rainmaker Challenge Reviews: What’s The Conclusion?

I like Stephen and Chelsey. The whole Rainmaker brand warms my heart, and they’ve set up a useful beginners’ course at a reasonable price.

What’s more, it is possible to make good money with the Amazon FBA business model.

However, it’s not as easy as the Rainmaker family makes out. You’ll need a lot of luck, a lot of patience, and a lot of spare cash to fund your venture in the first place.

That’s why I say that the Rainmaker Challenge is unlikely to be worth the effort for most people.

Looking for more info? Dive into my KT Hustles review. This course, led by a 7-figure ecommerce seller, features a 1.4k Discord community and weekly Q&A sessions. However, the absence of student feedback and the mentor’s relative inexperience might raise some flags.

I also evaluated Smart FBA, which provides wholesale pricing and specializes in restricted brands, managing the entire process from product research to fulfillment. Yet, its pricey automation options necessitate a $25k minimum investment, coupled with a strict no-refund policy and restricted control over your store.

What Is My #1 Way To Make Money Online In 2025?

Whats My 1 Top Pick Business Model

It’s time to get real with you for a second.

I’m a parent of two boys myself. I took such a keen interest in making money online mostly so I could spend more time watching them grow up.

But it wasn’t easy to find a business model that made it easy to do that.

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify
  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: The Digital Rental Method

Whether you’re a complete newbie, or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, the Digital Rental Method is for you.

Here’s Why:

1)Time: If you’ve got a spare hour-or-two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all-in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.

2) Ownership & Control: With Amazon FBA, you don’t technically own the customer base.

Amazon could literally shut you down overnight. They have a history of kicking suppliers off their platform, or stopping payouts to affiliates for certain products once they’ve built their own.

Why pour your soul into a business that could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime?

With the Digital Rental Method, you literally own all of the assets, which means you have ultimate control.

3) Big Margins: As an FBA seller, you’ll have to buy your own products, send them to an Amazon shipping center, pay the storage fees and pay other Amazon seller fees. I haven’t even mentioned all the money you’ll probably have to spend on ads or other methods of sending traffic to your products.

All in all, you’re going to be dealing with super-slim profit margins with this business model. That means you’ll need to hit a serious scale to be able to quit your job and hang out with your toddlers all day.

Meanwhile, with the Digital Rental Method, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. You don’t have to worry about selling thousands to make a decent monthly pay check. These are digital assets that are PROVEN to make business owners even more than that back. So, it’s not exactly difficult to find a willing customer.

And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

4) It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with Amazon FBA, you would need to sell twice as much inventory, or double your profit margins. And I can guarantee you (from my fidget-spinner FBA days), that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

5) You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with FBA is that you’re basically only helping yourself. The world doesn’t need most of these low-ticket items you’re selling. And, even if they did, they could buy their silly little gadget from one of the countless other FBA sellers. (In most cases, they could probably find the exact same one.

You’re not making a difference to the world as an Amazon seller. You’re just looking for an easy way to make a quick buck.

This can be somewhat engaging when you’re first getting started. But, once you’re established, it gets really old, really fast.

But when you’re talking about The Digital Rental Method, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

We’re not helping Jeff Bezos shoot another rocket into space – you’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other FBA programs like the Rainmaker Challenge, which might make you money 12 months from now.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.

Making a fortune while actually helping real people who need it.

“My journey began like many others – the all too familiar corporate treadmill, where success seemed defined by long hours in a skyline office. I did well in school, climbed the corporate ladder, but fulfillment felt elusive.

Eventually, that feeling led me to the world of ecom, where I ran dropshipping, print on demand & FBA hustles that brought some successes – but they also brought many challenges.

It wasn’t until I found the Digital Rental Method that I really found my groove – which still happens to be my #1 recommendation for making money online!”
