Why bother with just any old ecom course, when you could get the Last Ecom Course instead?

This is the thought process behind Justin Phillips’s latest program. He believes he’s found the formula that makes all other dropshipping programs irrelevant… the fabled final boss of ecom training.

But is this really what we’re dealing with here?

  • Is Last Ecom Training really any different to all those other programs out there on the market?
  • Is this really going to change the e-commerce business forever?
  • And what about those reviews… is there something going on here you need to know about?

I’ll be covering all of this and everything inbetween in my Justin Phillips ecommerce review… so let’s get straight into it!

There is some pretty good information in The Last Ecom Course itself, although there's not quite enough detail to justify the overall investment. The live workshop bumps up the mentoring score a little bit, although it's not clear whether you'll be getting one-one-one coaching calls or not. You will also get access to an exclusive community, which is a nice touch.

The Strengths

  • The course covers things like influencer marketing, which is very popular at the moment.
  • There are mentoring and coaching calls included in the course, so you'll get some good interaction with the coach.
  • Justin seems to have done quite well from the ecommerce business himself, and it's always nice to learn from someone with real experience.

The Weaknesses

  • The course material is a little thin overall, and you might not think it justifies the course cost.
  • There's no refund attached, which means you don't have a safety net if it doesn't work out.
  • There are some bad online reviews of the course, and loads of bad reviews for Justin's old businesses too, which might shatter your confidence in the guru.

TLDR: Is Justin Phillips Revolutionizing The E-Commerce Industry?

Is Justin Phillips Revolutionizing The E-Commerce Industry

So Justin Phillips is here to bring you his ecommerce course. This essentially means you’re discovering how to work with suppliers who will ship your products directly to your customers.

You handle all the front-of-house stuff… setting up your website and online store, and marketing your products. And your suppliers work behind the scenes, so you never need to get your hands dirty with the products themselves.

But I’m not just talking about any old ecom training. I’m talking about the Last Ecom training… the final word in all things ecommerce, and a proven strategy that means you never need to seek help from any other guru ever again.

At least, that’s what it’s supposed to be.

And on the surface it seems like Justin does a pretty good job. His ecom training program teaches you some valuable knowledge. You’ll learn how to get more sales through free traffic (which I love by the way… too many gurus focus exclusively on paid traffic), and how to achieve more customers through smart social media strategist thinking and excellent branding.

I’d say Justin certainly has the right technical skills, and he knows how to pass them on. He’s also really into influencer marketing, which is becoming an increasingly big deal in this business.

But Is All This Enough?

But Is All This Enough

I’m going to say that Justin has done rather well putting all this together, but there are a few things that are troubling me with this one.

  1. I’d probably like to see a little bit more from Justin…

The course cost is quite high, and there are no refunds. This is not a problem all by itself… who’s going to fuss over a few thousand dollars when you’re getting a hundred thousand in return?

But I worry that there’s just not enough content to justify it. Less can certainly be more, but not when you’re paying good money for a program.

  1. The dropshipping business model is notoriously hard to make money from…

90% of entrepreneurs will fail in their first year. Of course, you might know this already, which is why you decided to turn to a digital marketer expert like Justin.

This makes sense… but I worry that this course isn’t going to give you the stability you need to overcome those low profit margins and become one of the rare success stories.

  1. The reviews are pretty patchy for Justin and his course…

I always like to get recommendations from previous course users, so you know what you’re dealing with. Unfortunately, there aren’t any for Last Ecom… at least, there aren’t any good ones. The few reviews I found aren’t great.

And the reviews I found for his previous companies are even worse. All in all, it doesn’t fill me full of hope.

So What’s The Alternative?

I was once like you… starting out on my own ecom journey. It didn’t go well, and when the time came, I knew I had to get out.

I ended up following the local lead generation route, with Digital Rental Method as my guide.

  • The DRM guys have put together an awesome course here. It’s comprehensive and gives you everything you need to really spread your wings with local lead generation… so you’re not left feeling short changed.
  • The local lead generation model is basically saturation proof. You control your niche and your area. And, because the service you’re providing is so important your local business partners, you’re getting amazing money in return… on a monthly basis.
  • I’ve seen a ton of people have big successes with this model and this program. Heck… I’m even one of those people myself!

AreaScoreDescription
Time Investment2.0 out of 5 starsIt won’t take you much time to get through this course, but the time you’re saving at the start you’ll have to make up later on. You’re playing catch up in this business, and you’ll be working a lot.
Level of Control2.1 out of 5 starsThere’s hardly any control involved in the ecommerce business model. Unfortunately, I don’t think Justin manages to change this too much.
Ease of Implementation2.3 out of 5 starsYou might find it quite easy to implement many of Justice’s methods. But this is only part of the battle… the methods still need to actually work!
Profit Potential1.9 out of 5 starsEcommerce is not the place to be if you want to see reliable profits. While Justin has created a nice enough course here, I don’t see anything particularly game changing going.

Let’s take a moment to find out a bit more about this program…

What’s The Justin Phillips Ecommerce Business Model?

Justin Phillips and his business partner

Justin Phillips is here to teach you about forging your own path with a flourishing ecommerce store. But what does this mean exactly?

Basically, the strategies Justin teaches are all about dropshipping. Which means…

  1. You research profitable products that people actually want to buy.
  2. You source those products from a supplier.
  3. You build an ecom website so people can find those products.
  4. When you make a sale, your supplier ships the product direct to the customer… no messing about with inventory or product handling for you!
  5. You achieve financial freedom through all your hard work…

Except, that last point might be difficult to achieve. Most entrepreneurs struggle with this model, and here’s why…

  1. You’re up against it in the market, with a ton of competitors who have been doing this longer than you, have more resources than you, and are already dominating their niche.
  2. It’s not enough just to build your site… you’ll need marketing strategies too, with expensive paid ads that can really cut into your bottom line.
  3. Around 90% of dropshippers never even make it out of their first year! I wasn’t joking when I said this was hard!

How Much Does The Last Ecom Course Cost?

It’s not immediately clear how much the Last Ecom training course actually costs. I’ve seen some people saying the course is $1,497, which is fairly high for what seems to be quite a short program.

There are lots of other courses available for roughly the same money online, and most of them go into a bit more detail than this one.

However, I found other people saying they spent between $6,300 and $6,800 in three months of working with Justin!

A review suggesting the full price is much higher

If you’re paying almost $7k for the entire course, it’s going to be seriously difficult to make this back with the ecom and dropshipping business model. You’d better hope what the program teaches is worthwhile!

One thing I can be clear on is this: his ebook of secret strategies and resources is available at $30. Oh, and Justin says this is actually worth $5,000. That’s quite a big saving I suppose, although how he arrived at that figure I’m not sure.

The ebook cost

What’s The Last Ecom Course Refund Policy?

Just like with the cost, the refund policy on the Justin Phillips course isn’t immediately obvious either.

I have found some users who say there’s no refund offered, and that this is made very clear in the contract. They also talk about people getting their money back through their own banks, which again suggests you’re not going to get refunded from Justin himself.

A negative review referencing no refunds

Reviewing The Guru – Who Is Justin Phillips?

Justin Phillips

Justin Phillips started out on his own business journey back in 2012 when he was still a college student at Howard University, forming his own clothing brand with a friend. While this label would eventually get him into a bit of trouble further down the line, it did give him the chance to hone his digital marketing expertise.

More than a decade later, Justin wants to help others learn the ecommerce business. With this track record and experience, he believes he’s the man for the job.

Is There A Last Ecom Course Scam Going On Here?

Now, I’m quite intrigued by all of this. You’ve got a course that seems pretty high priced for what it is, and which becomes even more high priced when all the hidden cost elements are factored in!

It also seems like there’s no refund policy, so if you fail to generate leads and boost your ecom store, you’re stuck. Then you’ve got a $30 ebook that is supposedly worth $5k. I just don’t know what to make of it all, but those early signs aren’t great.

So I did some digging. There aren’t many reviews for this ecommerce training… or there aren’t many reliable reviews anyway. As I can’t verify the testimonials Justin is posting on his site, I have to discount them. Of the reviews I did find, some were describing this as a scam.

Unfortunately, it’s not the first time Justin has had scam accusations thrown at him. While still at Howard University, Justin and his friend Corey Arvinger came up with an idea for a clothing brand – “Support Black Colleges”.

While I’m sure Justin and Corey meant well with the company, and set out to support a great cause while making some sustainable income on the side, they soon got into trouble.

Despite boasting of more than a million dollars in sales, it turned out the company was not delivering on their promises to customers, and huge numbers of people were not getting the tees and sweats they ordered.

Anger at one of Justin Philips previous businesses

Amid a lot of public anger, talk of a class action, and an F rating on the Better Business Bureau, Justin tried to defend himself. Speaking to Fox 5 Atlanta, he came across as sympathetic to his angry customers, and promised he wasn’t out to rip anyone off.

The whole thing is probably a case of business mismanagement, rather than an out-and-out scam. But it’s still not a great look for an online business guru and ecom training expert.

My Personal Opinion On The Last Ecom Course And The E-Commerce Business Model

My Personal Opinion On The Last Ecom Course And The E-Commerce Business Model

This is the part of my Last Ecom training review where I give you my personal view…

So what do I really think? Well… I’m going to start by giving Mr Phillips the benefit of the doubt. I’m sure he’s done well with his own e-commerce business, and he certainly seems to know what he’s talking about.

Some of the things he touches on with this Last Ecom training are really useful, and the whole thing is nicely balanced. For example, he covers things like Google Ads, which are important. But he doesn’t exclusively cover them.

Balancing this out with content on free traffic for social media platforms and working with influencers is a nice touch, and it certainly suggests this is a guy who knows his way around an ecom business.

There are coaching calls too, and there’s a handy guidebook resource that will help you fit all the pieces together. Overall, it’s not bad.

If I had one criticism about the course itself, I’d say it could do with a bit more meat on the bones. Teaching you how to generate traffic by running ads and using other techniques is great… but for the price you have to pay, I’d say you might be left wanting more.

I also have reviews for two other courses.

The first is the PODHacks Accelerator Program by Ronnie McKenzie, covering all aspects of the print on demand business model, though the market is saturated.

Additionally, I reviewed the Biaheza Dropshipping Course, which guides you through starting a TikTok dropshipping business. It offers valuable strategies but lacks personalized coaching.

Is This Actually Worth Your Money?

Last Ecom

But you don’t just want to know if this is a decent ecom training course… you want to know if this is something worth investing in?

Here, I’m not so sure…

This business model is rapidly descending into a real dogfight. It’s mega-saturated these days, and profits are slim. Even with solid training, you might find yourself wishing you’d got into something not quite so high maintenance, and with higher rewards for your hard work.

On top of this, the reviews don’t look great. There are hardly any reliable reviews for Last Ecom, which is a worry itself.

There are, however, a ton of reliable reviews for Justin’s old business – a clothing brand. And these reviews range from pretty bad to “we’ve got to start a class action” bad.

I’m not here to point any fingers, and I still think Justin’s heart is in the right place. But can I say for sure this is a good investment?

No… I most definitely cannot.

Is There A Better Way To Make Money Online?

If you’re anything like me, you want three things from an online business program…

  1. You want stability… reliable profits that keep on coming, month after month.
  2. You want good money… returns that make everything worthwhile, and then some.
  3. And perhaps most of all, you want freedom… the freedom to live the life you want to live.

Even putting everything else to one side, and ignoring everything we’ve learned about Last Ecom, I don’t think the dropshipping model gives you any of this.

I know this because I’ve tried the model for myself. When it got over-saturated, when I started tying myself in knots chasing after profits that never came, I knew I had to get out. And this was a few years ago… the business model is way worse these days!

The alternative I found was local lead generation with the Digital Rental Method…

With the Digital Rental Method, you set up your own simple but effective website. This is your digital rental property, and you’ll use this to generate awesome leads for local business owners in your niche.

These leads are worth tens of thousands of dollars to your partners… we’re literally talking about rescuing businesses here, turning struggling companies into mega-successes. You’re doing something amazing for your local community.

And, of course, it checks all the boxes…

  1. It’s stable, because you’re getting a digital rental income each and every month…
  2. It’s profitable, because your partners are tripping over themselves to give you $1k or $2k per month for the service you provide… over as many sites as you want to run.
  3. And it’s semi-passive income… you’ll be able to run everything with just a few clicks each day. So you’re free to live life on your terms.

How does this sound to you? Probably a lot better than scrapping it out with a million-and-one other entrepreneurs in the ecom market.

The list seems to cover both US-based vendors, and those who cover international markets.

My Justin Phillips Ecommerce Review – The Conclusion

The time has come to bring this Last Ecom Training and Justin Phillips ecommerce review to an end.

As a whole, I’d say Justin’s program is pretty good, if a little over-priced. There’s good material, but perhaps not quite enough of it. And you might be left wondering where to go next on your journey.

There’s also issue with student reviews. There just aren’t enough reviews for this program to give me any confidence, and the reviews for Justin’s former businesses really aren’t good either.

On balance, it’s a good effort from Justin, but I can’t put my own recommendation on this one.

Instead, I’d say just stay right where you are… and learn all about my #1 pick for making money this year…

What’s My #1 Top Pick Online Business Model For 2024?

What's My Number One Top Pick Online Business Model

When it comes to online businesses, I’ve pretty much tried my hand in all of them over the years. From selling hair products as a Clickbank affiliate to dropshipping decorative pillows on Shopify, I’ve pulled in my fair share.

But here’s what I learned along the way: There’s never going to be a “perfect” business model to start with. That being said, the Digital Rental Method comes pretty darn close.

No matter how much or little experience you have in this space, the Digital Rental Method is for you. It’s the best way to kill your day job, whether you’ve ever made a dime online.

Here’s why:

#1. Flexible: Are you ready to quit your job and dive in full-time? There’s no need! Even with just an hour a day, you can make a difference in a Digital Rental Method business. Sure, it takes time to get results, but even chipping in a little each day is enough to achieve results.

I’m talking about flying to beautiful places like Maui, Tokyo, or France while collecting multiple checks worth $500 to $2,000. That’s pretty sweet!

Create a semi-passive income stream, and you won’t have to decide between time and money.

The days of any semi-passive income at all in dropshipping are long gone. Nowadays, you’re spending all your time and effort playing catchup with the big players in the market.

#2. Full Ownership: You don’t actually own anything with dropshipping. You can’t control the quality of your product or even when it arrives.

Your ecommerce site host or ad platforms could take you down at a moment’s notice… so you don’t really have much control over that either.

What’s the point of investing your heart into something that you could lose overnight, without warning?

Being a digital landlord grants you full control and ownership of your assets without the hassle of inventory management.

#3. Fulfillment Process: Perhaps you don’t need to worry about inventory, but overseas shipping can pose a new set of challenges.

With today’s global supply chain issues, it may take up to 6-7 weeks for your customers to receive their orders!

This is a huge problem for ecommerce entrepreneurs looking to expand. All the effort put into testing and advertising may be useless when your now-frustrated customer requests a refund.

Fortunately, you can avoid these issues if you rent out digital properties.

#4. Copycat Method: The best part? It’s effectively copy-and-paste. Once you’ve set up your first Digital Rental Property, you can duplicate it and find another willing “tenant” in a day or two, doubling your income without much effort.

Dropshipping requires double the inventory sale, or double the profit margin to double your income. And I can assure you (after experiencing all the difficulties of this model myself!), that’s a lot harder than what you might think… and I don’t think Justin’s course is going to change that.

#5. Higher Profitability: Unlike with dropshipping, which often results in slim margins, the Digital Rental Method offers nearly 100% profit margins with minimal startup costs.

Dropshipping profit margins have been really tanking in recent years. With so much competition and not enough customers, ecommerce is a buyer’s market.

There’s no such problem with Digital Rental Method. Each digital rental property generates you up to 2k per month in passive income, and adding more properties translates to more income with minimal effort on your part.

You can avoid spending a crazy amount on ads or driving traffic, making it an ideal choice for those seeking higher profits.

#6. Making a Real Difference: You’re helping real people, and that’s the best thing about it. Dropshipping and ecommerce often involve selling low-quality products that provide no real value to customers or society as a whole, resulting in short-term profit but long-term problems.

The Digital Rental Method is the ultimate catalyst between local businesses and their customers, helping them survive and grow, while also supporting struggling families. & you both get paid, so it’s a win-win.

Alternatively, you could just spend the rest of your life researching, never pulling the trigger.

Or, you can take a step forward and think about what you truly want out of life. You have the chance to join a program that turns dreams into reality, just like it has for 2,000+ students who’ve discovered the Digital Rental Method.

With the right strategy, you can create a steady, reliable, and semi-passive income stream that doesn’t require much time or effort on your part.

So, instead of exploring other dropshipping programs like the Last Ecom Training, choose the Digital Rental Method and start living life on your own terms.

You’ll become financially free while growing other people’s businesses!

Find out here how you can make passive income with the Digital Rental Method.

“My journey began like many others – the all too familiar corporate treadmill, where success seemed defined by long hours in a skyline office. I did well in school, climbed the corporate ladder, but fulfillment felt elusive.

Eventually, that feeling led me to the world of ecom, where I ran dropshipping, print on demand & FBA hustles that brought some successes – but they also brought many challenges.

It wasn’t until I found the Digital Rental Method that I really found my groove – which still happens to be my #1 recommendation for making money online!”
