Justin Woll made his fortune via dropshipping; the art of selling items online without storing the inventory yourself. When your customers buy something from your store, the supplier sends the item directly to them.

On the surface, it’s a low-risk low-effort form of ecommerce. No wonder so many people try to get into it!

However, many flaws of this model are downplayed by Justin and other dropshipping gurus.

A big one is the low profit margins. Most dropshippers have to drive traffic to their online store using paid ads. They also have to pay various fees to Shopify and their product suppliers, meaning they often only make a buck or two from every $10 sale.

Also, dropshipping has become too popular in recent years. Every other wannabe Jeff Bezos is trying to make money this way too, so it’s harder to stand out from the crowd.

The market is far more saturated now, so you won’t find it as easy to sell these $10 products as Justin Woll did a few years ago.

Some people still make big money with this business model, but they’re likely spending every day searching for the next hot product, tweaking ad campaigns and fiddling with product pages.

They’re not making “passive income” by any stretch of the imagination. It’s a stressful full-time hustle with no guarantee of success.

Thankfully, there is another way to succeed in online business.

Rather than fighting to sell thousands of low-ticket items every month, perhaps you’d prefer a business model where each client pays you $500 – $2,000 every month?

How many clients would you need to attract to live your dream life in this scenario?

There are a lot of digital courses which team the same basic skills needed to create a dropshipping business and hopefully make some money.

They all focus on how much money the guru made (many years ago) and gloss over the hurdles of dropshipping in the present day.

And so they should! They’re trying to market their program after all.

The unique selling point of Justin Woll’s course is its depth. The Ecommerce University has an entire semester’s worth of information, while a six-month mentorship with Justin or (more likely) a member of his team is also available.

With that in mind, you might be a good fit for Beyond Six Figures training if:

1. You’re convinced that dropshipping is the most suitable business model for you and you’re unwilling to investigate any alternatives.
2. You have money to spend on the Beyond Six Figures course, social media ads for your products and other fees associated with dropshipping.
3. You’re looking for consistent support over the next six months, and you’re happy to pay a premium for it.

The curriculum will teach you how to play the long game with dropshipping. This Reddit user suggested that it may take most people longer than six months to get set up. (He also said that most products found via the course’s methods failed to sell.)

But what if you’re looking to make decent money now? What if you’re hoping to earn consistent pay checks without the lottery of trying to hand-pick winning products?

If that’s the case, I’d suggest you don’t waste several months following Justin Woll’s courses. (Try this course instead).

Beyond Six Figures Review: Your View From 1,000 FT

There are two courses currently available from Justin Woll.

These are his E-commerce University (sometimes known as E-Commerce Profit University) and his 6-Month Mastermind. I’ll explore the difference between these two programs later on in the review.

What Business Model Does Justin Woll Teach?

Justin Woll teaches how to launch a dropshipping business and hopefully generate a lot of sales.

You’ll learn how to create a Shopify store, locate items to sell and connect with a supplier who’ll ship them to customers every time you make a sale.

A big part of your long-term success will involve choosing the right products to sell. The best dropshipping experts have mastered the art of finding the next winning product before all their competitors. Justin will share an innovative product research system to help you do this.

Driving traffic to your online store is another crucial skill that you’ll have to learn for continued success. The Beyond Six Figures course will teach you how to do this via social media ads and Google ads. You’ll have to pay for these ads out of your own pocket, so it’s important to target the right people and do what you can to ensure your ads drive sales.

Dropshipping profit margins are historically low. The industry average is 15% – 20%. That means you’ll have to scale your business to scary heights to try and make a living wage. Justin will teach you how to do this by testing your ad campaigns, spending more on the profitable ones and ditching those that lose your money.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, this means you’ll need a fair bit of money to fund these huge campaigns. You’ll also need to be fiddling around with Facebook or Google Adwords every day to ensure you’re not losing money on dud campaigns.

It’s not easy and it’s certainly not passive. Perhaps now you’re beginning to see why Justin’s Mastermind lasts six months.

Who Is Justin Woll?

Justin Woll made his first million dollars at the age of 23, mostly through dropshipping and teaching other people how to do it.

He was making money online as young as 13. That’s when he started a gaming channel on YouTube, raking in advertising revenue and sponsorship money from a partnered gaming company.

That might sound like a dream life for a teenager, but there was trouble going on behind the scenes. Justin grew up in a middle-class family with parents who were always struggling financially, and this eventually led to them losing their family home! They split up soon after this incident, so Justin, his brother and mom had to spend four years in his grandma’s house finding their feet.

In an interview with Jordan Welch, Justin said: “That’s what enabled me to understand that money was what we need. I need to build something for my own self and generate income so I could go ahead and offset what has happened to myself and my family.”

As early as 15, Justin launched several online business ventures including two Shopify stores, two subscription box businesses and his own gaming company called LINK.

It was his dropshipping hustle that made him a lot of money while he was studying for a business degree at Rutgers University. Ultimately, he decided to drop out of his course to go all-in on dropshipping.

It was clearly the correct decision. Justin’s business continued to grow. He was even chosen for the Rutgers Entrepreneurship Award in 2016.

Later that year, he launched his Beyond Six Figures training courses and has never looked back.

He’s won the ClickFunnels Two Comma Club Award four times and the Two Comma Club “X” Award once. Only a few people on this planet can match that record. Meanwhile, Beyond Six Figures has been dubbed as the largest one-on-one ecommerce mentoring agency.

Justin Woll Net Worth

A February 2024 feature by dropshipping.com has suggested that the Justin Woll Net Worth figure is $15 million. Having researched the life and careers of many ecommerce entrepreneurs, I’d say this figure seems accurate.

On his LinkedIn page, he refers to himself as an 8-Figure Strategic Marketing Ninja. So, we know he’s worth $10 million at the very least.

Indeed, the Two Comma Club “X” Award is given to those who earn $10 million from one funnel.

How Much Does The Beyond Six Figures Course Cost?

The Ecommerce University course will set you back $997. We’ll explore exactly what the course contains and what you can expect to learn later on in this review

If you’re interested in Justin’s six-month mastermind, you’ll have to schedule a call with a member of his sales team. The price isn’t published on the Beyond Six Figures website, but we can get an idea based on customer reviews. The majority of these suggest that the mastermind costs $5,000.

My Personal Opinion On Justin Woll And His Dropshipping Course

Justin Woll is an impressive young man. There aren’t many people out there who can make dropshipping work so well at such a young age.

Still, you shouldn’t expect to be able to replicate his success so easily.

Dropshipping isn’t as simple as it was when Justin started in 2016. A stampede of other ecommerce entrepreneurs have joined the gold rush since then. You’ll have to compete with all of them to find and sell the best products.

I don’t blame Justin for glossing over the downside of dropshipping. He’s got courses to sell, after all.

But the reality is: for every Justin Woll, there are thousands of people who couldn’t make dropshipping work for them.

Is Justin Woll Legit? Should I Worry About A Justin Woll Scam?

Justin Woll is the real deal. His ecommerce business skills are verified. The ClickFunnels Two Comma award is only delivered to those who generate a million dollars from a single funnel. He’s done it four times.

His customer reviews indicate that many students are happy with their coaching. Some are even bold enough to reveal their earnings, which is rarely the case for the positive reviews on other less impressive courses.

Some customers have left negative reviews about Beyond Six Figures, but these mostly focus on how difficult it is to make dropshipping work.

And that’s the main reason why I hesitate to recommend this course to you.

It’s not that Justin Woll is a bad guy. It’s not that his advice is incorrect. It’s just a lot harder to succeed at dropshipping than it used to be.

You’ll be dealing with low profit margins on low-ticket items, meaning you’ll need to make thousands of sales per month to live well.

That’s always been the case with dropshipping. But nowadays you’ll be competing with thousands of sellers trying to flog similar items.

The competition is so fierce that success often depends on finding the next hot item before anyone else.

And, even if you find that winning product, it won’t be long before the herd catches on and start selling it cheaper than you.

That’s why I believe most people would prefer to make big money online with The Digital Rental Method.

There’s no danger of over-saturation in this business model because you’re dealing in local markets. You can target one of 50+ local business niches in one of 500,000+ cities.

Instead of selling thousands of cheap items, you only need to find a handful of local business owners who want more customers.

Once it’s set up, your digital asset will do that on auto-pilot, leaving you plenty of time to relax and enjoy your life. The income is as passive as it gets in online business.

The information inside Justin Woll’s courses is useful, but it’s not guaranteed to create a dream life fueled by endless passive income.

It’s more likely to create a life of constantly checking Google Adwords and praying your next ad campaign makes a profit.

Sure, some people strike it rich with dropshipping. Justin Woll was one of them. But it’s getting tougher every year to replicate his success.

There are easier methods to create that passive income lifestyle these days, and that’s why I can’t recommended his course to you.

Top Alternative / #1 Way To Make Money

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

• I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify
• I’ve drop-shipped jade rollers via Clickfunnels
• I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
• I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being The Digital Rental Method.

If you’ve got a spare hour-or-two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all-in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.

2) Ownership & Control: With dropshipping, you don’t actually own anything. You can’t control your product quality, or even what the package looks like when it shows up.

Technically you own your Shopify site and you’re in charge of your online marketing… but ad platforms could shut you down on a moment’s notice… so you don’t really have much control there.

Why pay for six months of mentoring when your business could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime? I can only imagine the frustration of that happening, but it happens a lot.

3) Fulfillment: Alright, so you don’t have any inventory. Justin Woll makes it clear that this is a huge advantage and a weight off your shoulders.

The only thing is: the stress is replaced with the pains of overseas fulfillment.

Your customer is going to have to wait 3-4 weeks to receive their order.

Then add in the current global supply chain woes… and you’re looking at 5-6-7 weeks!

As you can imagine, that type of wait sparks a lot of angry customer emails.

Now, imagine if the customer slaps you with a refund, and all of that time spent testing and spending money on ads was for nothing.

You don’t have to worry about any of that when you’re renting out digital properties.

4) It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Justin Woll’s six-month mentorship is only designed to get you up and running with dropshipping. He’ll show you how to find winning products and test them, but there’s not too much advice about scaling to the moon.

When it comes time to scale, your mentorship might be over.

That’s not how it goes with the Digital Rental Method.

Once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with dropshipping, you would need to sell twice as much inventory, or double your profit margins. And I can guarantee you (from my Shopify dropshipping days), that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

5) Big Margins: With dropshipping, you’re often going to have really slim margins. That means you need to hit a serious scale to make serious money. This usually entails spending A LOT of money on ads and other methods for growing traffic to your product.

Justin Woll teaches some useful strategies for increasing your profit margins, but you should only expect slow and steady growth with these methods. You won’t be breaking the bank overnight.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

6) You’re Helping REAL People:

Justin Woll is great at selling all the potential benefits of scaling to six figures with dropshipping, but he doesn’t mention an underrated downside.

The lack of personal fulfilment.

You’re not providing value to the world with dropshipping. You’re usually finding some product that’s complete garbage, and are tricking people into buying it.

It’s cool in the short term to make a quick buck, but in the long-term, it gets really old, really fast. 

But when you’re talking about The Digital Rental Method, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with.

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other dropshipping programs like Beyond Six Figures, which might make you money 12 months from now.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.
