This Trustpilot student said William’s training videos felt like nothing more than a crash-course tutorial on building an ecommerce store, and they didn’t explain how to actually apply his methods.
- Someone who needs a lot of reassurance when jumping into a program. There are a lot more testimonials on Williams’s social pages than actual student success stories on review sites.

eCom Degree University teaches you how to build an e-commerce business from scratch and how to become a seller on Amazon, Shopify, eBay, etc. William even teaches you some PPC methods like Facebook and Google Adwords.
The training is unique because it teaches you both the dropshipping business model and Amazon FBA, so you have the flexibility to choose how you want to start selling online.
With Amazon FBA, William teaches you how to list physical or digital products on Amazon, have suppliers ship your products, and then allow Amazon to do the rest.
He also teaches you Amazon FBM (fulfillment by merchant), which means you store and ship inventory yourself. This gives you more freedom over product and shipping quality, but you’ll still need to fulfill Amazon’s two-day shipping requirements. But I like that he gives you the option to learn both because they each come with their own pros and cons. For one, Amazon FBA comes with a lot more startup costs and risks than dropshipping because of all the required upfront inventory.
On the flip side, Amazon FBA requires less work and has higher profit margins than drop shipping because of its wide user base.
Still, the end result is the same. The oversaturated online market leads to a narrow path of profitability.

The cost of eCom Degree University is $1,497 at the time of this writing. Williams also offers a starter mini-course option for $84. However, I don’t think it’ll be enough to give you full e-commerce for an investment that small.
Ecom Degree University Refund Policy?
eCom Degree University has a 30-day refund policy. This means if you aren’t completely satisfied with Williams’s training style or aren’t getting the results you want, you can still back out within your first month.
But you can’t just complete a few videos and throw in the towel. You’d have to have completed the whole course within that first month, set up your seller account on Amazon, and spend some money on paid traffic efforts like Facebook ads.
It’s like a double-edged sword in this case because some students are complaining online that they need a refund because they lack training in the program.
So how can you get a refund if you can’t finish the training?
It doesn’t make any sense, and it seems like you might have trouble, too, if you request a refund, so fair warning.

Well, technically speaking.
Don’t get me wrong, eCom Degree University hits most of the marks when it comes to what I look for in a good ecommerce course:
- Does the guru have selling experience?
- Does the program have one-on-one support?
- Is the training material updated regularly?
- Is the program legit?
From all accounts, William plays his cards right. He’s an experienced eCom teacher and is definitely reputable when it comes to any subject in the matter – dropshipping, FBA, and FBM alike.
It’s just not enough to win my vote.
The program’s lack of transparency around numerous eCom business model challenges should be enough to make anyone reconsider.
In reality, high competition comes with the territory of dropshipping, and Amazon FBA, and it definitely isn’t as passive as William makes it out to be.
With all the added costs involved, such as Amazon fees, dealing with suppliers, and paying for ad traffic, this “passive opportunity” quickly turns into another stressful day job.
A day job you don’t get paid overtime for.
To add insult to injury, all this work and money spent staying afloat leads to profits low enough to make you want to go back on the clock.
