Dropbuild promises a fully equipped dropshipping store ready to take the e-commerce world by storm. Yet, behind the glossy exterior lies a framework that might not be as sturdy as you'd hope. While the idea of a "done-for-you" Shopify store might spark your entrepreneurial enthusiasm, the program doesn't fully address the tough parts of dropshipping. Despite glowing reviews, the program’s reliance on oversaturated markets and low-quality products can lead to reduced profits and increased competition. These concerns cast doubt on the program's long-term sustainability and viability.

The Strengths

  • Dropbuild offers step-by-step guidance, helping even beginners understand and tackle most dropshipping challenges.
  • Lifetime support for your first dropshipping store means they'll help you solve problems you might run into later.
  • There’s an active community to support you, enhance your learning, and provide networking opportunities.

The Weaknesses

  • Setting up a Dropbuild store requires an investment of $449 to $599, which is a lot given the typically slim profit margins of dropshipping and the uncertainty of your ROI.
  • As more people enter the dropshipping market, standing out and earning enough to pay the bills is becoming increasingly difficult.
  • Problems with product quality and supplier reliability could disappoint customers, which can damage your store’s reputation and long-term success.

TLDR: Is Dropbuild All You Need?

review tldr

Dropbuild offers a tempting proposition: a pre-built dropshipping store that promises to make selling online as easy as pie. From what seems on the surface, you’d think it can’t get any better—winning products, ad copy, Facebook video ads, a list of top suppliers, you name it!

It’s like getting a ready-made lemonade stand, all set to sell your cool stuff to the world!…

…But that’s kind of what they all do. It’s a “done-for-you” service, and Dropbuild is not the first platform to offer it.

So what happens after you’re handed the keys to your brand-new online shop? Well, you quickly realize that setting up a store was the easy part. The real challenge begins afterward.

It doesn’t matter how great your lemonade is if there are fifty other stands on your street, some selling it cheaper, others throwing in free ice cream.

And that’s the main issue with dropshipping.

Dropshipping had its glory days when just a few people had it figured out and made millions. Then it became tougher but doable if you could connect a few dots.

Today, the market is overflowing with dropshippers and services like Dropbuild.

Think about it: with nearly eight billion people in the world (that’s eight with nine zeros), how many of them are ready to invest $600 in such a service? Let’s say ten percent. Ten percent out of 8 billion is 800 million—that’s your competition.

With all the positive reviews the guys over at Dropbuild get, there’s no doubt that they can handle building a ready-to-rock dropshipping store. But once the 24-hour refund period ends, you’re left with a dent in your wallet and little clue on what to do next.

So, instead of battling a horde of dropshippers that grab customers by the collar, clamoring, “Hey man, wanna buy my Pikachu jumpsuit?” why not focus on something closer to home?

With the Digital Rental Method, you can charge premium prices by leasing top-ranked websites to local businesses.

You help them get more clients, and they fill your wallet with passive income each month. How does that sound? Here’s where you start.

Who Benefits from the Dropbuild Program and Who Doesn’t?

who benefits from a custom dropshipping store

Just like trying on new shoes can help you see if they fit perfectly or if they’ll give you blisters, imagining yourself in different scenarios can help you determine if Dropbuild is a good long-term fit. Let’s see how it measures up:

This program might be for you if:

  1. You’re new to e-commerce: If you’re just entering the world of online sales, Dropbuild can streamline the startup process with its pre-built stores.
  2. You prefer a guided approach: Dropbuild offers a structured path with extensive support, ideal if you like having a clear roadmap and help readily available.
  3. You have money to invest upfront: Unlike some other dropshipping routes, this course requires more investment at first. If you can invest without expecting quick returns, Dropbuild could be a solid foundation to build an online business.

This program might not be for you if:

  1. You’re wary of low profit margins: With dropshipping’s slim profit margins, often below 10%, Dropbuild may not meet your expectations.
  2. You value product quality and control: Inconsistent product quality from suppliers can lead to negative customer reviews and damage your brand reputation.
  3. You are an e-commerce pro: The cookie-cutter nature of the store setup offers little room for customization, which might stifle your creativity

Where do you stand? Are you completely sold on the dropshipping idea, or are you open to other, better alternatives? Use this insight to guide your decision.

Program 1,000 FT View: A Deep Dive Into Dropshipping And The Dropbuild Cost

1000ft view

Now, let’s cover the essentials of what dropshipping really involves, break down the costs of getting involved with Dropbuild, and the nitty-gritty of their refund policy. This way, you’ll have a clearer picture from a higher vantage point, which should help in making a wise decision.

What is Dropshipping?

what is dropshipping

Simply put, dropshipping means being the middleman. You list products you don’t stock, and suppliers ship them directly to customers once they’re purchased.

Many are drawn to this idea because of its low upfront cost. But it’s exactly this idea that makes dropshipping an underwhelming experience.

For all its benefits, the business model has many drawbacks that are conveniently not shown in programs such as Dropbuild.

Here’s why dropshipping might leave you frustrated:

  • Thin profit margins: Like squeezing water from a stone, earning a decent profit in dropshipping can be exasperating due to fierce competition and minimal pricing flexibility.
  • Shipping snafus: Depending on suppliers for timely delivery, like trusting a notoriously late friend to catch an important flight, can mean delays and errors. This will disappoint your customers and lead to bad reviews.
  • Heavy ad spend: To get noticed in a crowded market, you need to spend a lot on ads. You could easily spend over $1,000 on ads and not make a sale. Rough!
  • Limited customization: Standing out is challenging when you can only sell what’s offered. Go to broad, and you can confuse your customers and make them abandon their carts.
  • Customer service nightmares: You take the burn of customer dissatisfaction even though you can’t directly resolve many issues.

So while dropshipping can be a good way to test the entrepreneurial waters, it’s usually something you don’t want to keep for the long haul. Now you see why.

But how about a less chaotic alternative? Check out the Digital Rental Method.

How Much Does Dropbuild Cost?

cost

Dropbuild offers two main pricing tiers for their dropshipping service:

The One-Product Store costs $449, giving you a single winning product, a custom Shopify store setup, one video ad, 15 social media posts, and a Facebook ads strategy.

The more comprehensive Niche Store costs $599 and includes 10 winning products, 10 video ads, 30 social media posts, and an enhanced Facebook ads strategy.

I’d say the jump from one to ten products isn’t too steep, so if you really wanna go for it, better to choose the higher tier.

Can You Get A Refund?

refunds

Dropbuild offers a refund policy, but it’s not that great.

If you’re not happy with your store, you can request revisions or a refund within 24 hours of receiving it. If you ask me, 24 hours isn’t nearly enough time to inspect the store, let alone decide on a refund. So a slick move on their part, I guess.

Note that a $29 payment processing fee applies, so refund or not, that’s $29 you’re not getting back.

Check out my Ecom Revolution review as well, where Sebastian Esqueda’s dropshipping course focuses on Shopify and provides comprehensive training for starting your eCommerce store. Note that detailed information about the program is scarce online.

Additionally, explore my Profit Automation Pros reviews, which critique a bundle of e-commerce courses promising automation at a low cost. Despite the attractive price, vague content descriptions and a lack of transparency raise red flags.

My Opinion: Should A Dropbuild Scam Worry You?

my take on their marketing strategy

Just so I don’t sound like an old granny saying, “goddamn kids and their dropshipping,” I’ll say that I don’t think it’s impossible to succeed with this business model. But I am old enough to remember when it was this cool new thing, and everyone acted like cavemen, afraid to come close to it, touching it with a stick and all.

Those times were golden! You could sell almost anything to anyone. Heck, even not honoring refund requests came with fewer consequences than today (not that I’m advocating for that).

But back then, nobody had the guts to throw some cash and try to make a business out of it. Not only because it was new but also because it was expensive and much harder to pull off.

Today, we have a bunch of courses from people who’ve made it, done-for-you services like Dropbuild, and the wary eye of the buyer ready to point out every misstep of such courses and services. So why not go for it?

Well, the reality is, the dropshipping model is like betting on horses—fun in theory but risky if you’re counting on consistent wins.

Finding the almighty “winning product” is not a glory that lasts forever. Once you do, your competitors will try to steal it from you and undercut you, putting you back to square one.

So what’s your next move? Spend on ads, deal with new suppliers, and grind, grind, grind. And, hey, if that’s your thing, more power to you!

But if you’re feeling a bit uneasy, like maybe this isn’t what you hoped for, trust that gut feeling.

With that said, let me tell you that things don’t have to be so complicated. How does it sound to offer something that every business wants?

Switching to local lead generation with the Digital Rental Method lets you become the local hero who helps businesses by bringing them more customers.

More customers mean higher profits for them and a slice of that profit for you!

What’s Inside Dropbuild?

Diving into Dropbuild reveals a structured setup designed to guide you from zero to a functioning dropshipping store.

Here’s a breakdown of the process, laid out to give you a clear picture of what you’re getting into:

Selection Process

In the initial phase, the Dropbuild team helps you pick a niche and corresponding products that have been tested for market viability. They provide a curated list of profitable products and reliable suppliers to streamline your entry into the market.

Store Creation

After selecting your products, Dropbuild’s team takes over the technical side of things like store design. They build out your Shopify store, ensuring everything is set up properly and looks professional.

So the idea is simple, but the hard part comes after you get the store. Driving traffic, dealing with customers, and earning less when you expected more is, unfortunately, the name of the game in this business.

Conclusion: Drop The Thing And Look Elsewhere

Given everything we’ve discussed about Dropbuild, it’s time to draw some conclusions. While Dropbuild streamlines the process of starting a dropshipping business with ready-to-launch dropshipping stores, it fails to paint the full picture.

The high start-up cost, dependency on variable-quality third-party suppliers, and a cut-throat market are just a few of the many risks that come with dropshipping.

While there is no Dropbuild scam, I find it hard to recommend it if you’re looking for a stable and high-return investment. The risks and the level of active involvement are not worth the small wins that are, sadly, few and far between.

For a more grounded approach that doesn’t depend on dropshipping’s winds of change, check out the Digital Rental Method. Less hustle, more of that sweet, sweet passive income.

“My journey began like many others – the all too familiar corporate treadmill, where success seemed defined by long hours in a skyline office. I did well in school, climbed the corporate ladder, but fulfillment felt elusive.

Eventually, that feeling led me to the world of ecom, where I ran dropshipping, print on demand & FBA hustles that brought some successes – but they also brought many challenges.

It wasn’t until I found the Digital Rental Method that I really found my groove – which still happens to be my #1 recommendation for making money online!”
